Charleston Branding Session | ND Branding Photographer
If you’ve followed me for any length of time, you know this North Dakota photographer LOVES to travel! My most recent adventure was to Charleston, SC for the Root to Rise Mastermind Alumni Retreat and the city stole my heart. My friend, Kim, and I planned our own South Carolina branding shoot before the retreat and I am positively itching to get back and do another one.
Charleston, SC Getaway
Charleston is a fun city full of Southern charm and beautiful architecture. I couldn’t believe how many cute boutiques and great restaurants we visited! We popped into The Tiny Tassel to browse their gorgeous selection of handmade jewelry, and I left with some of the cutest earrings I’ve ever seen. Their packaging is something to behold as well. (I couldn’t help but notice, I was in town for branding-related business, after all. If bright, bold, and feminine are your style, visit them while you’re in the neighborhood!
The Pink Figgy
Speaking of bright, bold, and feminine, let’s talk about the session with Kim! We discovered The Pink Figgy before our trip and knew we had to include it. It’s a 1991 convertible Nissan Figaro lovingly referred to as Fiona that can be rented for events or photoshoots. I had already taken a peek at the Instagram account the owner runs (check it out! She’s phenomenal!) and I could not wait. Kim and I threw on our twirliest dresses and sunglasses, and stepped in front of the lens instead of behind it. We had the time of our lives!
Perfect for Travel Senior Session
The buildings downtown gave us the perfect backdrop for our positively pink branding session. I can’t help but envision the possibilities for future sessions for my own clients! Recently, I shared a post on IG that it’s got great potential for branding or senior photos. I was especially inspired after seeing a pink dress on the Vici site that screamed Charleston! Wouldn’t it make for the perfect pink vintage aesthetic session?! I adore our photos and am getting hyped just thinking about the photos I could shoot there. (Pssst! September is the only month I’m not doing a travel shoot so far!)
Following our session, we dove head first into our retreat that focused on branding photos. The more I learn and shoot these, the more clear their importance becomes!
