Senior year is exciting! There's a lot of change & even more to celebrate!

  • In a season that feels like it"s moving faster than light, it's important to take a moment to honor the person you are today in photos that capture the activities, hobbies, & achievements that matter most to you.
  • Between schools, sports, & everything coming next, it can feel like you're supposed to have all the answers. Good news: senior photos don't require a five-year plan.

The sessions are designed to be guided, flexible, well thought out, with room to adjust asa things unfold. that means less pressure, more confidence, & photos that feel natural instead of forced.

Some seniors want to stay close to home for photos. Others want to turn this moment into something a little bigger - a destination, a favorite place, or a setting that feels like them. Both work! What matters is that the photo match the energy of this season & fell like something you'll be excited to look back on.

Kellie was so easy to deal with. This being my first time doing senior pictures I had a lot of questions/unknowns. Kellie responded quickly and never seemed bothered by them. I would highly recommend Kellie Rochelle Photography!

After hundreds of senior sessions and being a mom to seniors myself — here’s what I’ve noticed

Most seniors (and parents) start out a little nervous — and then realize it feels easier than they imagined.

Sessions tend to feel relaxed and fun once things get moving.

Direction is there when it’s needed, so no one is left wondering what to do.

Plans are thoughtful, but flexible enough to adjust in the moment. (Especially when Mother Nature tries to make things difficult)

And somewhere along the way, it stops feeling like a photoshoot and starts feeling like a really good memory.

I had high expectations for my senior photo session with Kellie, but the results exceeded anything I could have imagined. Kellie made me feel at ease, capturing my personality beautifully in every shot. The quality of the images was exceptional, and I loved every single one. These photos are not just pictures, but treasured memories of my final year in high school.

Last summer I did a travel session in San Diego with 2 other seniors & I had a blast. The pictures turned out amazing and so unique. The locations in California were surreal, they look like we were shooting for a magazine! Our trip gave me so many memories that I will always have, it was so unforgettable. I could not have asked for a more perfect way to start senior year.

911 Texts I Get Before Senior Sessions

This is the question I get most often — and you don’t have to figure it out alone. Most seniors bring 4–6 outfits, which gives us great variety without feeling overwhelming.
I have a small client closet available for girls, and I’m always happy to help you decide what works best. For boys, I recommend choosing at least one outfit that truly feels like you. (Mom usually picks a few outfits, too 😉) Comfort always matters just as much as style.

I include style guides and even shopping links as part of the pre-session prep support!

“HELP. I don’t know what to wear!”

Weather happens — and I always want the day to feel right. If conditions aren’t ideal (extreme heat, strong wind, or a sunset that just isn’t working), I’m happy to offer another evening when possible. It’s always worth waiting for a day that actually works for your session.

“It’s supposed to be windy / hot / snowy / cloudy… what do we do?”

Absolutely — I not only encourage it, if the senior is under 18, Mom (or a guardian) is required. Having mom there often helps everything feel smoother, especially at the beginning. She’s great for outfit changes, nerves, and all the little details. Senior year is a big season for parents too.
One small tip: moms, I recommend wearing something nice-ish. I always grab a few photos of you together, and they tend to become some of the most meaningful images from the session.

“Should mom come?”

That’s completely normal — and you’re not alone. I guide you through the session the whole way, and most seniors relax pretty quickly once they realize they don’t need to perform. That’s when the photos start to feel natural.

“I’m awkward in front of the camera 😬”

A few things I’ve seen help over and over again:

  • Bring Birkenstocks or flip flops for walking between locations
  • Save your favorite outfit for later in the session — the first part is usually about getting comfortable
  • Don’t worry if you don’t feel confident right away — that part always comes once we get going

“Any last-minute tips??”

Hi! I’m

Most of my work comes from word of mouth, and that’s not by accident. People tend to feel comfortable quickly with me, and that comfort shows up in the photos. I notice who people are, help them relax into it, and let the rest unfold naturally.
