When you make the decision to book your photography session, the first thing on your list of “to do’s” is to book your session! But, when? How far out in advance should you book your session? Every photographer is a little different in the flexibility of their schedule. Some photographers book out months in advance while others may only need a few weeks notice to book your session.

There is nothing sweeter than a newborn baby. That season of motherhood goes by so quickly. Packing away those precious newborn onesies is always a bittersweet task. That’s why I love capturing in-home newborn sessions! They press pause on that season of life and turn it into an album that you can cherish forever. I’m a lifestyle photographer, meaning that I value unscripted moments that feel more natural and less posed. As a lifestyle photographer, I prefer in-home newborn sessions over traditional studio sessions for many reasons.

What is an in-home session? It’s as simple as shooting your photography session in your home versus traveling to a different shooting location or studio. In-home sessions can be done with virtually any session type! A newborn, couples or family session can all be photographed in-home.
