Sam’s Senior Travel Session was one for the books. We packed our bags and headed to the Oregon Coast, Multnomah Falls, and Portland for a mix of breathtaking beaches, dramatic waterfalls, and funky city vibes.
Cape Kiwanda set the tone for Sam’s Senior Travel Session, with its rugged cliffs and windswept beaches providing the perfect backdrop. Sam looked radiant in her beige dress, which perfectly complemented the earthy tones of the cliffs. The wind was intense—like really intense—but she didn’t let it faze her.
While Sam posed effortlessly, I was busy shielding my camera from the flying sand. The movement of her dress in the wind added drama to the photos, creating some of my favorite shots from the day. Cape Kiwanda’s natural beauty and soft golden light made it a photographer’s dream, even with the wind trying to steal the show.
Next, we headed to 100 Stairs Beach, another highlight of Sam’s Senior Travel Session. Did we count the stairs? Maybe. Trust me, though, there were a lot. For this part of the session, Sam changed into a gorgeous flowing dress in a pinkish-purple hue. The soft color added a whimsical touch to the rugged beach setting.
The natural beauty of the beach provided the perfect backdrop for Sam’s outfit, with its flowing fabric moving beautifully in the ocean breeze. This location is pure magic for photos, but a good pair of walking shoes is a must for the trek. The effort was well worth it for the stunning views and incredible shots we captured.
Multnomah Falls was a showstopper during Sam’s Senior Travel Session. Sam absolutely stunned in a flowing red dress. The dress was long and dramatic, and as the waterfall cascaded behind her, it felt like we were capturing a scene straight out of a movie. Meanwhile, the mist from the falls added an ethereal quality to the photos, making them even more magical.
Miah joined in with her bright green halter dress, and the contrast of their outfits against the lush greenery and misty falls was just chef’s kiss. This location was hands down a highlight of the entire session, giving us some of the most iconic shots.
After wrapping up on the coast and at the falls, we made our way to Portland for Sam’s senior travel session, where we stayed at the Clyde Hotel. As soon as we walked in, the retro vibe was unmistakable. Think green canvas couches, record players, & national park signs. In addition, the hotel’s unique design made it the perfect place to unwind before exploring the city.
For the city portion of Sam’s session, we strolled downtown to explore. The colorful murals and unique buildings were a photographer’s dream. Sam’s easygoing style made every shot feel effortless, whether she was leaning against a bold mural or posing in front of a quirky blue building that caught our eye.
Sam brought such a fun and easygoing vibe to every spot we visited. Whether we were on the beach with the wind in her hair or downtown surrounded by colorful murals, she made every moment her own. By the end of Sam’s Senior Travel Session, it was clear we had captured her personality and style in a way that truly reflected her senior year.
Sam filled out a senior questionnaire before her session, sharing a glimpse into her personality, style, and interests. Check out her responses below to see what made this session so unique and so Sam.
