Where are the Adventure Family Sessions?

How long does it take to get there?
It takes roughly an hour to get to the visitor center at the Theodore National Park- North Unit from Williston, ND.
What is the cost & what is included in an Adventure Family Session?
The cost of an Adventure Family session is $950 (+ 200 sitting fee). This price includes travel to the North Unit. Included in the Adventure Family Session, are all the digital files from your session that meet my artistic standards-there will be 80 or more digital files in your online gallery. This session is for immediate family members, contact me for information on extended family sessions.
What should we wear?
If you want, I am more than happy to help style your family or give you a list of my favorite places to buy clothes for a session from. I have started client closet for moms & daughters, & even a few things for boys. You are more than welcome to borrow from my closet for your session. I love dresses for moms & girls, here are a few pictures of some that I have available in my closet. These are just a couple, I have a variety of sizes & colors to choose from.
How long does the session last?
When we have an adventure session, it’s much more than a photoshoot, it’s an adventure with your family. The session normally last 90-120 minutes (this does NOT include travel time) depending on the locations we go to in the park. They will involve some hiking, exploring, & just enjoying nature. All the things you would do as a family visiting the North Unit-I will just be there with a camera to capture you playing & interacting as a family! In order to go to the park, you will need to purchase a pass to get in. Here is a link to see the options & purchase one.
When is the best time for our session?
Ideally, we would want to start around 1.5-2 hours before sunset. As you know for ND summers that is pretty late- 10 pm for most of the summer. If you have littles, & know that is out of the questions, luckily with all the hills there is plenty of open shade to work with, so if we need to be done earlier it is doable!
What will the session be like?
If you find something to wear out of the client closet, I will bring it with so you can change into it when you arrive at the North Unit. We will find a cool spot & let you & your kids start exploring the area. If I see something I want to make sure is captured, I will stop you & tell you what I want you to do. It could be to do a big group hug or cuddle together, or just exploring a specific area. I may just want mom & dad to hug & have the kids playing nearby in the background. First & foremost- I want to make sure the kids are safe during all exploration, so if you see something that looks questionable we will stop & change course. As often as we can depending on the terrain, I will ask to remove shoes- I recommend something you can hike a short distance in that will be easy to remove. I love the natural look of shoeless photos- I want everyone to be dusty & dirty by the end of the session. This session is VERY lifestyle as in, I want you to talk to each other, keep connecting- wether that is cuddling, holding hands, or braiding hair, & not look at me.
