Williston North Dakota senior photographer stories always begin with trust and this one did too. I am a photographer from Williston North Dakota and Lane and I followed a pin down a gravel road to Addison’s family farm near Bainville. We started near her house with family photos letting everyone settle in and ease into the evening.

Addison Hansen Senior Photos at Her Grandparents’ Family Farm

Once family photos were finished we headed to her grandparents farm. That is where Addison started her senior session wearing her letterman jacket with jeans and a white top. Her mom had hung Addison’s sports jerseys on an old wooden wall of one of the buildings so they could sit behind her in the photos. Confident and comfortable. It felt like the right way to open her senior session because it reflected who she is and where she has been. From there she changed into a long white dress and we leaned into the softness of the evening.

As a Williston North Dakota senior photographer I know light changes fast in open country. An old red barn and a wheatfield waited along with weathered fences and a vintage pickup. So many textures that carried stories of their own. That first half of the session felt grounded and timeless. Addison moved easily through each space. Nothing forced. Nothing rushed.

For the second half we headed to a dam on their farmland. The night was calm with no wind at all. The water sat smooth and still. Addison changed into a shorter blue dress and everything just clicked. Purple wildflowers framed parts of the area and a simple fence gave us another quiet moment to pause and create. It was one of those evenings that reminds me why I love being a Williston North Dakota senior photographer.

Ending Addison Hansen’s Senior Sunday Back at Home

We ended back at the house as the light faded. Addison pulled on jean shorts and a coral top and we finished the night laughing and taking a few last images close to home. These are the sessions that stay with me. The ones rooted in place and family and ease.
