The Lord is my shepherd

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. Psalm 23I met Kenyatta while we were building our house, and we became fast friends.  I always look forward to catching up with her and talking about our families. The love she has for her family emanates from her as naturally as the warmth from the sun.  She has ten kids with her husband Lorenzo, and they are a close-knit family. They love to sing together, pray together, and laugh together. Kenyatta loves to cook for her family and takes joy in having a big family dinner with her kids and extends it to friends, always wanting to include others. I love how strong her faith is; she is always praying and blessing others with her time or prayers.  It’s not often one sees a family so big, but what is even more astounding is that they have so much love because their hearts have grown along with each addition to their family.  Kenyatta’s favorite bible verse is Psalm 23; it is a perfect reflection of her and her love for her family.  She and Lorenzo share with their children the teachings of the Bible, and it was easy to capture their positive energy in our badlands session… with their faith and love for one another, they will forever be shined upon by God’s grace.
