Senior photos should be an experience, not just a session—and Kiera’s senior travel photography session in Oregon was packed with adventure, stunning locations, and plenty of unexpected moments. From the streets of Portland to the foggy shores of the Oregon Coast, we captured photos that reflect her unique style and love for travel.
We kicked off Kiera’s session in Portland’s Pearl District, a vibrant area filled with urban textures and cool backdrops. Before diving into photos, we made a quick stop at Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden, where the lush greenery created a dreamy setting. While we wanted to capture more images here, we quickly learned a photography permit was required, so we made a mental note for next time!
Afterward, we scouted the Pearl District for unique spots, finding a sleek black-and-white building that made Kiera’s outfit pop. She effortlessly owned every shot, making the city feel like her personal runway. After wrapping up the urban portion, we swung by Voodoo Doughnut for a quick sugar fix—because what’s a trip to Portland without a dozen over-the-top donuts?
Before heading to the coast, we made a detour to Multnomah Falls, one of Oregon’s most iconic landscapes. The cascading waterfall and lush greenery gave Kiera’s photos an ethereal, fairytale-like vibe. Despite the cool mist rolling in, she powered through, and the results were absolutely breathtaking!
The next morning, we were up before sunrise for Kiera’s senior session at Twin Rocks Beach. The blue hour glow, combined with the misty ocean air, made for an epic backdrop. Kiera started in a bib-style outfit while the early morning fog created a soft, cinematic look. By the time it was light enough, the sky remained overcast, but the moody tones only added to the magic of her portraits.
With the fog still lingering at Devil’s Cauldron, we decided to head straight to Cannon Beach—and it did not disappoint! The sun finally made an appearance, casting the most gorgeous golden glow over the ocean. Kiera rocked her pink overalls, and we played with the water reflections, capturing some of the dreamiest images of the trip.
Afterward, we explored a few other locations, including a massive sand dune that Kiera was all for climbing, while others opted to stay warm! We also stopped in town, where we took some playful shots with vibrant flowers lining the streets. After wrapping up, we made our way to Seaside, where we enjoyed dinner by a fire pit and took in the boardwalk views before heading back to Devil’s Cauldron. Finally fog-free, we captured some stunning sunset shots that were totally worth the wait.
Kiera’s destination senior photography session was filled with adventure, unexpected surprises, and absolutely stunning portraits. From urban cityscapes to coastal landscapes, her session had it all. Travel senior sessions create one-of-a-kind experiences, and Oregon’s ever-changing weather only added to the magic of it all!
Kiera’s adventurous spirit shone through in every part of her session. From the misty beach sunrise to golden-hour reflections at Cannon Beach, her portraits are as stunning as the journey itself.
