As another year for Kellie Rochelle Photography draws to a close, I can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for everything 2024 brought my way. It’s been a whirlwind of a year, one filled with growth, adventure, and countless moments captured through my lens as a North Dakota photographer. As I sit here reflecting, I’m so excited to share a little behind-the-scenes look at what this year meant for my business and where we’re headed in 2025.
This year marked some big milestones for Kellie Rochelle Photography. For starters, I went all in with travel photography this year—a dream I’ve nurtured for years. From the PNW coast to New York City and everywhere in between, I’ve been honored to document families & seniors in breathtaking destinations. Each session was unique, and I loved blending the spirit of adventure with heartfelt storytelling through my camera.
Senior photography remained a cornerstone of my business in 2024, and it continues to be one of my favorite genres. Capturing the Class of 2025 was nothing short of inspiring, and I’m already buzzing with ideas for the upcoming Class of 2026. (It’s not too early to get on my waitlist!) Speaking of seniors, I invested in my craft by attending a retreat in Texas this spring with Ashley Mosier Photography. That experience not only sharpened my skills but also fueled my passion for creating standout images that truly reflect my clients’ personalities.
Another highlight of 2024 was diving deeper into branding photography. Working with entrepreneurs and creatives to help them tell their stories visually has been such a rewarding experience. I had a blast shooting my women-owned business series earlier this year and hearing the stories behind the brands these amazing women have built. I’m eager to continue growing this part of my business in 2025.
On the educational front, I launched a template specifically designed for travel photographers and a freebie packed with senior posing ideas. I’m thrilled to announce that next year will bring mentorship opportunities for fellow photographers. This has been in the works for a while, and I’m excited to guide others as they build their own successful photography businesses. Sharing what I’ve learned brings me so much joy and I love paying it forward!
A big part of making all this possible has been learning to balance my business with life at home. With seven children, maintaining work/life harmony is crucial, and outsourcing the behind-the-scenes aspects of my business has been a game-changer. This year, I also participated in Root to Rise with Sabrina Gebhardt, a transformative experience that helped me stay grounded while pursuing my goals. She has encouraged me from day 1 of our time together to outsource as much as possible in order to focus on my craft & continue to grow my business. It’s been worth its weight in gold!
I’ve been able to outsource blogs, newsletters, social media, & graphics to various professionals including a virtual assistant, graphic designer, and social media marketing consultants. I launched a new website earlier this year and hired a personal assistant to help keep things running smoothly at home. Investing in myself has been invaluable!
Looking ahead to 2025, there’s so much to be excited about. A podcast is in the works with one of my photog besties—stay tuned for fun conversations and real talk about all things photography and life. I’m also gearing up to welcome the Class of 2026, and I’m planning new opportunities for clients looking to book. Speaking of booking– it’s not too early to go ahead and get any travel sessions you have in mind on the books! I’ll be in Charleston in June and Glacier National Park at the end of July/beginning of August. Whether it’s a family session, a brand shoot, or senior photos, I can’t wait to continue creating magic with you all.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Your trust, support, and enthusiasm fuel everything I do. Here’s to a bright and beautiful 2025!
